I have to echo the leggings as pants: so over coetmnms, and add that to me they were over before they began.However, I love the combination of black leggings, grey sweater dress, and knee-high black boots. There's something Utilitarian Chic about it to me. I've been aware of the look for about three fall/winter cycles now but I'm not even remotely sick of it yet. And so comfy!
